Our moms were both a little flabbergasted when we went all in. A few years ago we became more interested in having better control over what goes into our food and what chemicals are in our home. So we moved out of the city and started focusing on more sustainable and homemade things. This was in

Soon after we moved in, we knew we needed to name our farm. Our nieces made that pretty easy. They have always called us Uncle G and Aunt TT, so Uncle G’s Farm seemed like a natural fit. Once we got our name, we got to work. We started with laying hens, then added pigs, meat chickens, and lastly our first bottle calves (Wade and Adrian were jersey bull calves).

We’re pretty sure we have made every mistake possible while transitioning from city to country, but have learned so much with each set back. We want to share our journey with you! The good, the bad, and the REAL Join us as we continue to learn more about livestock, gardening, food preservation, cooking, and natural cleaning. Be sure to check out our blog, recipes, and store. If you’re in central Iowa, check out our selection of pork and chicken.
