Bath Salts

Have you tried your hand at homemade bath salts? Not only are they easy and make for a relaxing bath, but they are good for you! Did you know epsom salts are full of magnesium and your body absorbs that magnesium when it is added to the bath? Several years ago a neurologist advised me to take magnesium to prevent and treat tension headaches and migraines. Now when I feel one coming on I turn straight to a salt bath.
"Magnesium helps maintain normal muscle and nerve function, keeps heart rhythm steady, supports a healthy immune system, and keeps bones strong. Magnesium also helps regulate blood sugar levels, promotes normal blood pressure, and is known to be involved in energy metabolism and protein synthesis." Office of Dietary Supplements.
